Willis Tower Names Newest Tenant

CHICAGO, March 27, 2018 -- Equity Office, the U.S. office portfolio company wholly-owned by Blackstone’s real estate funds, announced today that Capco will be the newest tenant in the Willis Tower.

Capco, a global management and technology consultancy for the financial services industry, recently signed a long-term office lease for more than 7,900 square feet on the 41st floor of the Willis Tower.

Approximately 90 Capco employees have transitioned from an office space in the Franklin Building at 227 West Monroe (Chicago) to the Willis Tower. With the building’s convenient location and new renovations, Willis Tower is the ultimate Chicago workplace and an attractive destination that boasts a neighborhood atmosphere and energetic feel.

In early 2017, Equity Office and Blackstone revealed $500 million renovation plans to take place over the next year. This is the biggest restorative transformation project in the building’s 43-year history, enhancing the urban destination. The renovations include more than 300,000 square feet of new retail space, 150,000 square feet for new tenant use, a 30,000-square-foot outdoor deck and garden, as well as dining and entertainment space at the base of the building.
