Tressler Upgrades to New Space in Willis Tower

February 12, 2019

CHICAGO, FEBRUARY 12, 2019 – EQ Office, the U.S. office portfolio company wholly owned by Blackstone’s real estate funds, announced today that Tressler LLP, a national law firm headquartered in Chicago, is relocating from Willis Tower’s 22nd floor to the 61st floor with a new 42,000 square foot space in the iconic building. The company has called Willis Tower home since 1993.

Tressler attorneys primarily devote their practice to the representation of the insurance industry in coverage analysis and resolution, litigation, underwriting consultation, product development, claims management and reinsurance. Tressler attorneys also represent clients in commercial litigation, employment, government, healthcare, corporate transactions and intellectual property law. The firm has eight offices across five states -- a national presence that many law firms of its size do not have, and is strategically expanding offices nationwide.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with Tressler and that they chose to stay and expand at Willis Tower,” said David Moore, Senior Vice President and Portfolio Director at EQ. “Tressler has been a part of our community for 25 years, and we are thrilled that they are continuing to evolve with us in new, modernized space that will support their business for years to come.”

Tressler will be moving to the new office space on the 61st floor, which will be open for business today. Tressler worked closely with Partners by Design to create a space with modern amenities for employees and visitors. Key features include glass walls to bring in natural light while offering sprawling views of the Chicago skyline, as well as employee amenities like wellness rooms for nursing mothers, teaming rooms for collaboration, standing desks, an event space and a shared kitchen.

“As a national law firm, we have to modernize and embrace change in order to thrive in today’s competitive market,” said Anna Hanson, Director of Marketing & Communications, Tressler LLP. “We are different than other law firms, and our new space represents that. Willis Tower is an iconic part of Chicago and the perfect home for our headquarters.”

Tressler employees frequently take advantage of other Willis Tower tenant amenities, such as Tone, the 30,000 square feet fitness center, and event spaces like Altitude and the Steel Room, which were added to Willis Tower as part of the building’s $500 million renovation, the biggest restorative transformation project in its 43-year history. The renovation also includes the addition of Catalog, a five-story dining, retail and immersive-entertainment experience, located at the base of the tower, anticipated to open to the public in mid-2020.
