The Steel Room on Willis Tower's 33rd Floor

At the heart of Willis Tower’s transformation is the desire to spark creativity, collaboration, community and innovation. There has been significant research on the impact of art and design and the affects they have on employees’ overall productivity and wellbeing in the workplace. Willis Tower recently launched Art of the Neighborhood, a dynamic arts initiative to foster ongoing art programming through the tower.

Willis Tower’s Art of the Neighborhood exhibit is now located in Tower House on the 33rd floor of Willis Tower for our tenant’s exclusive enjoyment. The exhibit in partnership with the Chicago Artists Coalition features 10 local artists who demonstrate an expansive range of color, form, technique and texture.

In celebration of the exhibit, we invite you to join us on Tuesday, May 14 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in The Steel Room on the 33rd floor for a Tower Talk on the impact of art in the workplace. During this Tower Talk, you will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with the artists whose works are on display over drink and H’dourves. The evening will also feature a wine tasting by Heritage Wine Cellars.

A panel discussion will also take place featuring two of the artists on display, Edra Soto and Jordan Martins, Jeffrey Lawrence Interior Design Associate at Gensler; and Mary DeYoe, Director of Development & External Relations at Chicago Artists Coalition (CAC). The panel will be moderated by CNL Projects’ Art Consultant Cortney Lederer.

Following the Tower Talk all Willis Tower tenants are invited to vote on one exhibiting artwork to be purchased by Willis Tower for permanent display in Tower House. More details to come on how to vote.
